SYRACUSE, NY, Nov. 19— The Empire State Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors today announced Ken Gardiner, CPA, CCIFP, partner, Dannible & McKee, LLP, Syracuse, New York was elected as Treasurer of the association during its meeting at the association’s annual Leadership Institute in Marco Island, Florida. Throughout his years working with ABC and the decades of experience he has with auditing and accounting, Gardiner has consistently brought integrity and excellence wherever he’s been.
In this role, Gardiner will be responsible for overseeing the finances of the national office. Based on the merit shop philosophy, ABC helps its members develop people, win work and deliver work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which they work.
“I’m honored to be elected Treasurer of the ABC National Board of Directors,” said Ken Gardiner. “As someone who’s spent decades managing finances and governance at the chapter level as well as with other associations, I know how important strong fiscal stewardship is to keeping our organization healthy and focused on our mission. In this role, I’ll work to ensure that every dollar is used to strengthen our members, support our chapters, and advance the merit shop philosophy that drives our success.”
Gardiner is widely recognized as a leader in the construction sector. As the first professional in Upstate New York to earn the prestigious Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation, he has set a benchmark for excellence in construction finance. Gardiner has been invaluable to the ABC Empire State Chapter, serving as its Treasurer for 35 years and recently being inducted into the ABC Hall of Fame in 2024.
