ABC’s 2021 Women in Construction Week Celebrates Amber French!

Amber French, Electrician, RADEC Electric

Amber began her journey as an electrician in 2013. As a single mother of three boys, at the time, she knew that she needed a solid way to provide for her children while teaching them the value of hard work.

She started out by attending an electrical trade class at OACES in the city of Rochester, NY. Upon completion, she was offered a position as a helper at RADEC Electric. After nine months working in that role, she was offered an opportunity to participate in the apprenticeship program. She has since completed the apprenticeship program and is now a journeyman electrician.

Amber resides in Hamlin, NY with her new husband and their five sons. Together they are teaching their boys the value of hard work and perseverance and that a little dream can go a long way!

As a full-service trade association, ABC offers a variety of information, tools and services to its members.
