2024 Year in Review

As we step into 2025, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what we accomplished together in 2024—a truly milestone year for our chapter. Through hard work and collaboration, we achieved remarkable success, and I am proud to share some highlights with you:

• Empowering Our Workforce: Over 2,500 member employees participated in apprenticeship, craft training, and professional development courses, ensuring the future of our industry is in skilled hands.
• Apprenticeship Program Growth: Our multiple-employer apprenticeship program expanded to over 100 apprentices, reflecting our commitment to building the next generation of construction professionals.
• Advocacy Wins: We successfully blocked harmful legislation, including proposals to expand prevailing wage to private work and impose a statewide apprenticeship mandate on all publicly funded projects.
• Stronger Member Connections: We hosted two of the most well-attended events in the past 20 years, strengthening our network and fostering meaningful relationships.

Looking ahead, we’re also investing in the future of training. In 2024, we worked closely with training and safety professionals to assess our facilities and identify areas for improvement. These efforts are paving the way for an exciting 2025, with enhancements like the build-out of our Rochester electrical training center and the addition of multiple equipment operator simulators.
